Lyons Colorado Wedding Photographer
The River Bend
When Hillary, Robert and I connected via mutual military friends and we discussed their wedding. I just knew that I HAD to be their photographer. Robert and my husband were deployed together, and to me they are true heroes. Above everything else, I have the upmost respect for our military & if you stand beside my husband, you are a hero & my husbands "brother." When Hillary and Robert said they wanted me to fly out to Colorado and be apart of their Mexican + Hawaiian fiesta wedding, I may have squealed like a little girl on Christmas morning. Being able to capture people in love, a military couple, with mexican and hawaiian culture, I felt like the luckiest photographer on the planet. Traveling to shoot peoples love stories and capturing their big day seriously makes my heart skip a beat. Colorado is absolutely breathtaking. The whole time I could not believe how vast and gorgeous it is. God made such an amazing world, and he still decided to make me, with my passion to photograph love. I photographed a lot of love on September 2nd. Hillary & Robert's wedding day was filled with so much love, laughter, and a bond between these two that I have never really experienced. It takes a very special woman to stand beside a man in the military, I know. But when we get blessed with men like our husbands, we are more than blessed.
September 2nd in Lyons Colorado, on the River Bend, was a breezy 75 degrees. The clean wind blew, and across the venue I could hear Hillary laughing with excitement to marry her best friend. Her girls gathered in a "glamping" style tent to get ready in & they all were so much fun. They all helped each other do their hair and makeup, and shared stories & some dessert wine to get ready. I don't think I have ever met such a laid back group of girls just ready to celebrate their girls day that these gals.
Anytime I mentioned Robert I could see how Hillary would light up, and her smile would grow bigger and bigger. When I was able to meet up with Robert to capture a few images of him, he said he was "just so ready to marry her." The way that these two love each other and talk about each other would make anyone turn to mush.
When it was time for Hillary to walk down the isle, both her dads took her down the isle to Robert. As Robert watched his gorgeous bride walk down the isle, he teared up. I can say, a man who protects our country and a man who is not afraid to show emotion for his wife, is a man of God. It was such a gorgeous ceremony. They didn't take their eyes off each other, and they sealed it with a kiss with many laughs in between.
Hillary & Robert's Colorado wedding was everything I could have imagined to photograph. A taco truck, red velvet cake, a gorgeous couple, speeches, family, and friends to surround these two. It was absolute perfection.
Their love story was one of a kind. Perfection at its finest.
